My name is Francesca Borsari, and I am an Italian literary translator based in Dublin. I work between Italian and English, helping stories find their way across languages without losing what makes them extraordinary. My work as a translator pivots around two main genres: the first one is Italian fantasy, the foundation to my passion for reading, which I hope to lead across the Alps and the sea so that English speakers can fall in love with it, too. The second motif relates to those texts exploring multilingualism, border identities, and what it truly costs to live between two worlds at once, without fully belonging to either. I hold an MPhil in Literary Translation from Trinity College Dublin and am an ATII (Association of Translators and Interpreters Ireland) Associate Member.

Mi chiamo Francesca Borsari, e sono una traduttrice editoriale italiana a Dublino. Lavoro tra italiano e inglese, aiutando storie a trovare la loro strada tra lingue senza perdere ciò che le rende straordinarie. Il mio lavoro di traduttrice ruota attorno a due generi: il primo è il fantasy italiano, le fondamenta del mio amore per la lettura, e il mio desiderio di accompagnarlo attraverso le Alpi e il mare, cosicché il mondo anglofono possa innamorarsene. La seconda area tematica riguarda quei testi che esplorano multilingualismo, identità di confine, e il vero prezzo del vivere tra due mondi senza appartenere del tutto a nessuno. Ho conseguito un MPhil in Traduzione Letteraria e Culturale al Trinity College Dublin e sono membro associato ATII (Associazione Traduttori e Interpreti in Irlanda).
